I was really astonished by the article that I have read the other day telling that Google is Maffia , but I think they are spot on, but without murdering anyone.

Google appears to have eliminated all the foreign country news page links from the bottom of the Google News page, seems they want you to stay in your own country, you can of course change the language of the page by manipulating the link above the page, but this is not so easy. Sites like World War 4 Report depends on these links intimately for there work. How are they supposed to access those pages now? How to do a search for Mexican, Colombian, Pakistani, etc. news sources? Who’s brilliant idea was this? Why can’t anyone just leave well enough alone? Haven’t they ever heard “If ain’t broke, don’t fix it”? Or is it some conspiracy to limit bloggers and researchers to the dumbed-down American or only there own country resources media?

Even the way they responded on the Google Health controversy is also not so nice …

Google has to leverage its ubiquity to stifle competition, and doing so has to hurt consumers, before the government moves in. While its overwhelming dominance in search is troubling for advertisers, the company hasn’t shown the sort of bullying that got Microsoft in trouble. “You’ve got to be big, and you have to be bad,” law professor Andrew Gavil told the Times. “You have to be both.” but if it uses its search dominance to squeeze people out of the market, watch out. Don’t be evil: It’s not just a good idea—it’s the law.
