But is outsourcing even believable?

I’m sure you’ve thought at some point: oh, I can just go to elance and get someone to do that for me…
And then you tried it and it was a disaster. And if this hasn’t happened to you, it’s only a matter of time before you realize that outsourcing can be twenty times harder than you would ever imagine…
So much so, that at one point I almost gave up on it.
But then I would have missed out big time:
1) I would have had to keep doing ALL the work myself. That means at best I could aspire to be a well paid self-employed person…
2) I had to do the deadly boring stuff I hated: Not only a huge waste of time, but also a double edged killer. When you have to do work you hate, it destroys your productivity and creates a negative
vibe about your business costs you incredible amounts in frustration and dissatisfaction.
3) I couldn’t jump onto new opportunities: I was so tied up in what I had to do that trying anything new, no matter how promising was just impossible.
4) I couldn’t get more than one thing done at once. Multiplying profits was a slow linear process.
5) When I didn’t work, my income would start to wane. Sure I’d have some passive coming in for a while, but it would get ever smaller…
